Berlin to Poland - 23rd - 29th March 2016 Day 7

All too soon the last day was upon us so it was up early and off to one last stop in Poland.

The first stop in Germany was the GA field at Pasewalk. Alas, it was early and the gates were still shut.

The Interessenverein Luftfahrt Neuenkirchen was next. All noted were easily seen from outside.

Eventually G-EZTT turned up to operate EZY2104 and take us back to a wet and windy Luton.

Another trip done and whilst the GA was a bit of a let down there was still some very good quality mil frames seen. The Yak-28 is a beast! A good contender for frame of the year for sure.

Berlin to Poland - 23rd - 29th March 2016 Day 6

The penultimate day started with coffee and Kilbasa before heading to the drome at Bydgoszcz. We had to pass the Tech School again and in the daylight could see the stored Mi-2.

At the drome the Aeroclub was, yep you guessed it, shut and gated. One AN-2 fuselage was outside. On the other side a park up and walk was in order to get a good look at the Sukhois.

The next stop was Myslecin, all shut up. Nothing seen. We were passing Poznan but had done this area last year so knew what was what. Not worth doing the Air Base on a weekend so it was decided a stop at Kobylnica would be the better option. This is a large drome so would surely have some activity. And it did. As we arrived an EV-97 was on the move but everything else was shut up. No other activity at all. A disappointingly small log from here.

So what was a frustrating Polish GA effort ended on a couple of highs. Just more reason to come back again as when there is somebody about they are always most welcoming.

Off to the hotel for some well earned grub.
